Fantasy Bookclub Scotland Glasgow Presents: Threshing Day

Riders... strap into your flight leathers and try not to look down.

It's time to head back to Basgiath for Threshing Day, Rebecca Yarros's brand new collection of thirteen stories about our favourite riders and the dragons who chose them (or very nearly roasted them). Yes, we know it's not Book Four. But after the way Onyx Storm left us, we'll take every scrap of the Empyrean we can get.

Whether you're here for Tairn's grumpy commentary, Andarna being the sweetest menace in the series, the fact that you're still not over Liam, or you've always wondered what the dragons are really thinking on Threshing Day, this is your chance to relive the most dangerous day at Basgiath with people who get it.

What to Expect 🐉

• The Threshing Day Discussion
We'll dive into all thirteen stories, from the bonds that had us sobbing to the ones that gave us answers (or even more questions). Which POV surprised you most? Which one absolutely ruined you? Nothing is off limits, spoilers very much included.

• The Best Bond Showdown
Whose bond hit the hardest? Is Tairn secretly the best character in the whole series? Come ready to defend your favourite pairing... or admit that a story you didn't expect completely changed your mind.

• The Ultimate Empyrean Quiz
Think you know your signets from your relics? Casual reader or someone who can name every dragon in the Riders Quadrant? We're about to find out.

• Laughs & Book Four Theories
We'll revisit our favourite scenes and discuss every Book Four theory currently keeping BookTok up at night.

Who It's For
Whether Fourth Wing was your first romantasy obsession or you've reread the whole series twice while waiting for Book Four, this night is for you. Come alone or bring your reading bestie. We promise you'll leave with new friends who understand exactly why a grumpy black dragon is the ultimate emotional support animal.

A quick heads up before you book. Threshing Day is packed with spoilers for the whole series, so we'd recommend finishing Onyx Storm before you join us.

So grab your copy, channel your inner first-year cadet, and remember...

Fly or die.
Mind the Parapet.
(And yes... your dragon definitely chose right.)
