A practical, hands-on workshop designed to help landholders improve their knowledge of rural fencing, from planning through to repairs.
Event details:
This one-day farm and rural fencing workshop hosted by Greater Sydney Local Land Services will cover the skills required for the setting out and construction/repair of basic conventional rural fences and introduce electric fencing.
The workshop will provide skills and knowledge that are crucial to the landholder in the planning, construction and maintenance of farm and rural fences.
Presented by award-winning agriculture educator Tim Thompson, this hands-on workshop is designed for people who manage or own a rural property and wish to increase their knowledge and proficiency in rural fencing.
Participants will:
Learn how to instal posts, tie knots, break and repair wire, and build a fence using suitable tools and techniques.
Develop skills to make decisions on types of fences to use.
Increase their knowledge of rural fencing.

This workshop is limited to 20 participants; registration is essential
Lunch and other refreshments will be provided
Parking is available on site,
You need to dress for a range of weather and bring your own sunscreen, hat and gloves.
NOTE: Safety glasses will be provided to participants throughout the day and must be worn without exception for all activities.
