Farm Dinners with Joe O'Connell, MAMA

Farm Dinners is an outdoor pop-up dining experience at Kelmarna Community Farm, inviting our favourite chefs to celebrate the bounty of our land.

Join executive chef Joe O’Connell of MAMA and his team at Kelmarna Farm for a family-style Italian feast that celebrates peak-season produce and bold, comforting flavours. Joe’s four-course menu will showcase Kelmarna’s summer bounty and carefully-selected local ingredients, featuring some of MAMA’s signature dishes given a Kelmarna twist, and lesser-known regional Italian dishes that reflect Joe’s signature low-waste, flavour-packed cooking style.

A carefully created and selected drinks list will be available to complement the menu.

About Joe O'Connell & Mama Restaurant:

Recently opened in Newmarket, MAMA is inspired by the warmth of Italian family tables - featuring pizzas, pastas, and nostalgic dishes like lasagne, pork cotoletta and garlic butter French fries - it is fun, generous, and comforting. 

Mama’s executive Chef, Joe O’Connell, brings over two decades of experience and is passionate about locally sourcing from small-scale producers, including Kelmarna Farm. 

“I’ve been lucky enough to work with producers like Kelmarna for 5+ years and to have growers as invested in systemic change for our food industry as they are in producing high quality ingredients is critical to the future of hospitality. It makes our job easy when the product is this good to start with. Which is what we are all about at Mama - doing simple things, but doing them really well.” 

Menu options and dietary requirements:

We offer both omnivore and vegetarian options as standard. Due to the pop-up nature of these dining events, we’re unable to cater to dietary requirements beyond those.
