Farm Dinners is an outdoor pop-up dining experience at Kelmarna Community Farm, inviting our favourite chefs to celebrate the bounty of our land.

This year we are very happy to welcome Forest back to delight your taste buds, for one night only!

Drawing on the seasonal harvest from the garden and the forest, this very special, entirely vegetarian, specially created 5-course menu will be inspired by Kelmarna's produce, both farmed and foraged, with other ingredients sourced locally and sustainably. A carefully created and selected drinks list will be available to complement the menu.

About Forest:

Forest is a 26-seater restaurant located at 243 Dominion Rd, Mt Eden. Forest serves a completely vegetarian menu which focuses on exploring flavour and texture with open-minded curiosity. Forest is independently owned by chef Plabita Florence and restaurant manager/host Kate Underwood, two of Cuisine Magazine's Top 50 Women in Food and Drink. In the 5 years since it opened, Forest has earned 1 hat at the Cuisine Good Food Awards, and was named Metro Magazine's Restaurant of the Year for 2024, as well as Best Smart Dining, Best Dessert, and runner-up Best Chef. Having helped co-create the Farm Dinners series with Kelmarna back in 2019, Forest has always had a special friendship with the farm. The lesser-known flavours found around Kelmarna have shaped many Forest menus, and the way we think about our food in general. These flavours reflect a true sense of local food, in a unique and unexpected way. Join us for dinner in the garden and experience the flavour discovery for yourself!

Refund policy

Farm Dinner Ticket Cancellation Policy The Kelmarna Farm Dinners are one of our main annual fundraising events. A great deal of coordination goes into running these very special evenings in the garden - so we really appreciate your support by attending. By purchasing tickets you're making a direct contribution to our mahi, and supporting our mission to create a better food future. Cancellations Up to 14 Days Before the Event Customers may cancel their tickets up to 14 days before the event and receive a full refund or transfer their tickets to another available Farm Dinner (subject to availability). Cancellations Between 14 and 7 Days Before the Event Customers cancelling between 14 and 7 days before the event may receive a 50% refund or transfer their tickets to another person. Cancellations Less Than 7 Days Before the Event Cancellations made less than 7 days before the event will not be refunded. However, tickets may be transferred to another person if we are notified at least 48 hours before the event. Please note that booking fees are non refundable. No-Show Policy No refunds or exchanges will be offered for no-shows. Event Cancellation by the Farm In the unlikely event of cancellation by the farm, customers will be offered a full refund or priority booking for a future dinner. Wet Weather plan The event will go ahead if there’s light rain In the unlikely event of torrential rain, or other bad weather event - the nature of the event will shift from a sit-down meal to a standup/fork food meal under cover & with a take away option for the main course. You’ll still be able to enjoy our chefs’ creations and purchase drinks. Customers will be notified in advance if this will take place.
