Event description

Farm Dinners is an outdoor pop-up dining experience at Kelmarna Community Farm, inviting our favourite chefs to celebrate the bounty of our land.

Bringing you closer to your food, Farm Dinners turns food miles into food metres.

This year we welcome some exciting new chef partners to delight your taste buds over these incredible summer evenings.

To kick off the Farm Dinners series, Tom Hishon will pair up with Giulio Sturla on Friday 14th of February, to create a 4 course menu inspired by Kelmarna's produce, both farmed and foraged.  The following night Giulio will take over, serving another 4 course meal featuring creative and seasonal dishes that have become his signature.

A carefully created and selected drinks list will be available to complement the menu.

About Giulio Sturla and Tom Hishon:

Giulio Sturla is the chef and owner of Mapu Test Kitchen, an experimental kitchen where Giulio showcases his creativity and passion for food, in an intimate setting where six guests can enjoy ingredients straight from his garden and foraged around Lyttleton and all over New Zealand. Constantly travelling, Giulio offers private dining experiences, restaurant collaborations and pop ups, both locally and internationally. In 2015, Giulio started ConversatioNZ - EatNZ, a movement initiated by chefs and people in the food industry, to highlight the quality and vast array of edible resources available in New Zealand.

Tom Hishon, a long-time supporter of Kelmarna, is chef and co-owner of Kingi and Daily Bread.
