Event description

In this workshop you will see mutual benefit living being put into action in a beautiful way.

But, what can I do that makes a difference?

Isn't it about the choice to make my contribution,or not?

Isn't it about making the spiritual choice of how do I want to live in these times?

Realising these benefits for ourselves, our families, community and the land is within reach. Actualising the Symbiocene, is that close at hand.

The Farm It Forward initiative in the Blue Mountains in NSW shows how working in the garden and with community make a key difference to being able to keep the planet liveable.

The speaker for this workshop, Emmanuela Prigioni as founder and coordinator of the Farm It Forward initiative is co-creating these benefits.

Emmanuela will also facilitate a session on Active Listening during the workshop.

The mindset, heartset and practice of the Symbiocene simply requires our attention and energy. We can restore and fulfil our mutual benefit nature.

Farm it Forward Mission:

Farm It Forward is a not-for-profit urban farming social enterprise model connecting landowners and local young people who are passionate about growing food. The project fosters youth and community mental health, develops skills, training and job opportunities, while tackling social isolation and increasing community wellbeing.

We grow nutrient dense regenerative food for our local community whilst raising awareness on growing practises and the mental health benefits of growing a food garden. Social outreach is a big part of what we do. We empower people to create local food systems creating resilience and nurturing our physical and mental health into the future.”

How Farm it Forward Works

In exchange for allowing their land to be used for market gardening, landowners :

Receive free regeneratively grown veggies, grown on their own property or on other land in the project.

Are visited weekly by community groups, paid young people and volunteers to establish and maintain organic food production, and enhance cross-generational connections.

Have the opportunity to be a part of a community or organic food growers through social media, gatherings and visitation to the large garden plots operated by Farm it Forward

The regular help groups allow for new aspiring growers to identify their passion and use the program as a career pathway

All excess produce is sold locally through our farm gate system online and in person and 100 % of the funds go towards employing young people to grow food and facilitate community outreach sessions.
