Description

Join South East Local Land Services and Shoalhaven Landcare for a field day at The Scots College - Bannockburn, a unique farming enterprise on the NSW South Coast where regenerative grazing, biodiversity conservation and natural asset management work together.

Event details:

Designed for farmers, landholders and land managers, this event will feature how Bannockburn balances a productive beef operation with landscape restoration, threatened species conservation and long-term farm sustainability.

Participants will tour the property's feral-animal-proof Rewilding Sanctuary, home to conservation programs for threatened native species, and hear about the Shoalhaven Landcare Fox Control Program and the importance of coordinated pest animal management across the landscape.

Attendees will gain insights into how natural assets can support farm productivity, resilience and future opportunities, including environmental markets and product differentiation. This is an opportunity to see innovative land management in action and take home practical ideas for your own property.

Additional notes:

  • Morning tea and lunch provided.

  • Please ensure you follow the ‘come clean, go clean’ vehicle procedure.

  • Ensure you wear appropriate footwear for a paddock walk and bring a hat and water bottle.
