    Event description

Transition South Barwon Community Film Night: Fashion Re-imagined

Trailblazing fashion designer Amy Powney is on a mission to create a sustainable collection from field to finished garment and transform the way we engage with fashion, follow her in this documentary to find out how we might reimagine the fashion industry.

Climate change mitigation is the most pressing issue of our time. With the fashion industry now understood to be one of the most polluting industries in the world, it is time to make drastic changes if we are to avoid climate catastrophe and environmental collapse. The problem at hand demands that we cohesively reimagine our relationship to clothing; looking not only at what we buy but also at how we can buy less, produce less & re-purpose more, keeping resources in circulation for longer and out of landfills.

Join us for a great community film night, providing you with the opportunity for connection with like minded people while sharing food and watching an important and interesting documentary.
