Building Brave Kids
A psychologist-led group by Carson Psychology
Carson Psychology’s established flagship parent seminar, designed to help parents understand anxiety and respond in ways that build confidence, coping and long-term resilience.
Supporting an anxious child rarely requires perfect parenting or the right words in every moment.
More often, meaningful change occurs through a series of small, repeated experiences that help children develop confidence in their ability to cope.
At Carson Psychology, we approach anxiety support through five interconnected steps:
NOTICE I REGULATE I VALIDATE I COACH I REPEAT
The seminar gives parents a clear framework they can use to understand anxiety, respond more effectively, reduce unhelpful cycles and support their child to move toward confidence rather than avoidance.
Learn how to:
Respond to anxiety without reinforcing it
Support emotional regulation and resilience
Build coping, flexibility, and independence
Thoughtful support for thoughtful caregivers.
OUR APPROACH
Our approach is compassionate, reflective, and clinically grounded — helping caregivers support children in building confidence, tolerating discomfort, and coping more effectively over time.
This is not a quick-fix parenting course. It is a psychologically informed space designed to help caregivers better understand anxiety, a child’s emotional world, and the patterns that can unintentionally keep young people stuck in cycles of fear, avoidance, and reassurance.
