    Event description

Join us on the evening of June 14th for an evening of feasting, music, and gathering in community to raise money for the Palestine Australia Relief and Action foundation (PARA). This night is part of an effort by Community 4 PARA to raise funds for 135 families - 750 people - arriving from Gaza. Everyone at PARA is a volunteer and 100% of all donations they receive go directly to helping Palestinians settle in Australia.

The five-course set menu dinner is inspired by the produce and dishes of Palestine. Watermelon, olives, oranges, eggplant are integral to Palestinian history, land, culture and cuisine, and form the inspiration for parts of the menu, alongside quintessential dishes such as maqlouba and musakhan. All dishes are halal. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options will be catered for, however as all dishes are prepared in the same kitchen, we cannot guarantee no risk of cross-contamination of allergens.

    Accessibility and sensory information:

The hall is wheelchair accessible and the event will be dimly-lit by soft lighting and candle.

We thank Westgate Baptist Community for supporting this event and allowing us to use the hall to host this fundraising night.

As we gather to raise money for people fleeing occupation in Palestine, we also gather on occupied lands, on Wurundjeri and Bunurong country. The struggles for liberation everywhere are interconnected, and this remains in our mind as we work to help our community near and far.
