Fee Free - Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Course 2022

 face-to-face training (please bring your face masks) with strict social distancing measures in place (we do not have the RSA available online)

In order to serve, sell, or supply alcohol in any venue or workplace in NSW, you must successfully complete the RSA (NSW) course.

Am I eligible? Check your eligibility
- You must be aged 17 and above.
- You must be an Australian/New Zealand citizen, resident, or humanitarian visa holder living or working in NSW.
- Fee-free training is available even if you are already employed.
- You must not have previously held an RSA competency card that has expired
and is currently due for renewal.

Note: If your competency card has expired in the past two years or will expire before 30 June, you can access free refresher training by visiting the Liquor & Gaming NSW online refresher page.

What to expect?

  1. Apply for a RSA course and undertake face-to-face training at a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) approved by Liquor & Gaming NSW (L&GNSW).
  2. Please bring your ID, face mask and a pen
  3. The course fee will already include the cost for your NSW competency card.
  4. Upon completion of the course, you will receive an interim certificate emailed to you by the following Monday, 5pm. Which is valid for 5 years and you can work for 90 days with the interim certificate.
  5. You will be required to take the interim certificate to a service NSW to apply for a NSW competency card.
  6. Renew your NSW competency card every 5 years.

Please note that the RSA course has a combination of plain English, photos, videos and questions to ensure learners have the best chance to complete their course.

nb: All attendees will be issued a Nationally Recognized Statement of Attainment, Liquor & Gaming NSW Interim RSA Certificate, and can apply for an RSA Competency Card (by OLGR NSW)
