Feeling Festive - Weaving a Pine Needle Ornament
Event description
Landcare ACT's Women in Nature program is drawing to a close. To celebrate the festive season we are hosting one final gathering for the year at the Yarralumla Gallery and Oaks Brasserie set beside the English Garden.Â
Learn to make a Christmas ornament with raffia, a wide-eyed tapestry needle, and locally collected pine needles from the English Garden. Just in time for Xmas!
We will be working in blanket stitch. This is a mindfulness-based, incremental, slow craft - more about the process than the end product. Â
While away the morning in the company of other nature lovers. Though it is forecast to rain, we'll be sheltered under cover in the marquee!
Refreshments are available from the Oaks Brasserie (at own expense) - they do great scones!
Attendance is FREE, thanks to a Community Grant from ACTEWAGL but places are limited -Â RSVP now to reserve your spot!
