You're invited for a creative afternoon in leafy Eltham, inspired by nature and a heartfelt cause. Create for Ukraine project connects your inner creative spark and your ability to make a meaningful impact on someone's life on the other side of the Globe. Meanwhile, there's zero impact on the environment during this event - it's one of our core values :)
Get familiar and master wet wool felting technique with Mariia (who was born in Ukraine) by creating two unique coasters that you can use at home every day, or have it as an art piece. Mariia is inspired by nature and creating beautiful objects for celebrating everyday life. Mariia is a whimsical storyteller, so be assured your inner child will be nurtured and elevated!
Fun colourful organic tea (you guessed it! in yellow and blue), and home-baked treats will make your experience extra special.

The cause
All proceeds raised will be donated to people in Ukraine who lost their homes and suffered many hardships. Project "Latka" (meaning "The Patch") was founded by Ukrainian artist Ksenia Kovalova and her friends. They restore damaged buildings in villages in Kyiv region and put a piece of mosaic after, as a reminder of their history.
"Our idea is to "patch" unhealable wounds with art - mosaic. To leave a patch on each wounded house that will become a reminder about the pain and suffering. But we will be reminded by beauty, by art."
