The Library Arts Center proudly presents the Felting Series with artisan Jennifer Boyd.

Needle Felting: Landscape Painting in Wool: Beach Scene

Saturday, June 14th, 9:00am-12:30pm

Tuition:  $50, including all materials

Create an 8x10  felted beach scene landscape in this session, learning the skills of needle felting and using them to “paint” in wool to create a gorgeous beachy landscape.  Follow step- by -step instructions but add your own twists and charm to make the scene uniquely yours. 

Needle Felting: 3D Succulents

Saturday, July 19 th, 9:00am-12:30pm

Tuition:  $35, including all materials and plant pot

Needle Felting: 3D Succulents Saturday, July 19th, 9:00am-12:30pm Tuition:  $35, includes all materials, and plant pot No green thumb necessary for this houseplant!  With step-by-step instructions, and allowance for personal whim and variation, you will create three dimensional succulents, plant pot included.  Leave class with a new plant, no watering or sunlight necessary.  While creating an adorable succulent, participants are learning the basics of three-dimensional sculpting with needle felting. 

Needle Felted Gnome Wreath

Felt a gnome wreath creation with step-by-step instructions, and plenty of room for individuality with a wide pallet of gorgeous colors of wool to choose from.  Leave the studio with a finished gnome wreath and new felting skills.

Needle Felted Pet Portraits

Saturday, September 6, 9:00am-12:00pm

Tuition:  $45, includes all materials

Bring a few photos of your pet, or an animal and “paint” with wool as you learn to needle felt a portrait with step-by-step guidance and plenty of gorgeous wools to choose from to create a truly unique pet portrait with needle felting. Portraits will be done in silhouette style.

Needle Felted Pumpkins

Get in the fall spirit by creating an absolutely adorable, felted pumpkin from a large assortment of wools.  Get step-by-step guidance mixed with plenty of opportunity for individuality to create a felted pumpkin that is perfectly yours.

Felted Gnome-Style Witches

Perfectly in the fall spirit, create three dimensional witches with whimsical and playful details in needle felting.  Learn the basics, or expand your felting skills while creating a witchy sidekick, perfect as we prepare for Halloween.

In the spirit of the season, get ghosty in this needle felting class!  Create a three dimensional ghost with needle felting with step-by-step instructions with plenty of room to add your personal style and whim.  Leave with a spooky finished needle felting piece.

Needle-Felted Santa Wreaths

Make an heirloom-style Santa Claus wreath in this needle felting class.  Learn the basics, or expand your needle felting skills, in this step by step class, filled with opportunity to individualize your piece.  Leave the studio with a jolly finished unique Christmas wreath.

Santa Star Ornaments

With needle felting, and a whole array of wool to choose from, create a gorgeous heirloom style Christmas ornament of a stylized Santa in a star shape.  Learn basics of needle felting, or expand your skills in this class, leave with a finished wool ornament ready for decorating or gifting, and the skills to make more. 

Painting in Wool: Winter Scenes with Needle Felting

Learn to “paint” in wool with an incredible selection of wools in a full array of colors as your paint.  Using step by step instructions with plenty of room for individual choices and selections, create a truly unique and beautiful wool painting of a winter landscape.
