Join Catherine O'Leary at The F Project in a workshop to look at techniques which explore texture, form and colour, and how different felt pieces can be combined to create something magnificent.
TWO DAY EVENT: Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th August 10 am - 4 pm
Location: The F Project, 224 Timor St, Warrnambool
This workshop will be using different wet felt making techniques which explore texture, form and
how colours interact. Looking at how felt con be manipulated in how it is draped and how three-
dimensional shapes can be created. Simple forms will be examined in opposition to multiple forms.
Student Materials list:
1 metre bubble wrap plastic
1 wooden dowel about 1 metre in length
1 packet of cheap painters plastic
1 metres wool prefelt from www.silksational.com.au [doesn’t have to be one colour, can be made
up of smaller pieces
1 packet of felbi allsorts from www.fibrefusion.com.au
1 metre black tissue silk available from www.silksational.com.au
Dishwashing liquid, 2 old towels, a milk bottle with holes drilled into the lid
Scissors
Needle
