FAQs
- Why can't I spectate?
We promise participants a safe and private session to ensure their comfort and safety. Spectators can negatively impact participant experience and learning. If you're not happy leaving your child to participate on their own, we recommend mothers or female caregivers participate with them.
- What can I expect from these sessions?
You'll start by learning the very basics of what to do if you find yourself in a threatening situation. You'll later practice attack using some punches and kicks against pads and break boards and other defensive/evasive maneuvers that'll help you keep safe.
- Can I attend every time these lessons are available?
We encourage attendees to attend multiple sessions to refresh their learning. We run these free lessons four times a year, you can expect to learn the same tactics each time. You can also attend your first month free with Selwyn Taekwondo at Clearview Primary.
