Feminist Governance Toolkit – Launch (Nov 2025)
Event description
We warmly invite board members, CEOs, and leaders from specialist domestic and family violence, sexual violence, and women’s health and wellbeing services to join us for the launch of the Feminist Governance Toolkit.
What sets this governance resource apart is its focus on the unique context of boards supporting specialist domestic and family violence, sexual violence, and women’s health and wellbeing services in Queensland. Board members may contribute a rich mix of governance experience, financial expertise, sector knowledge, and lived experience. This toolkit is designed to support these diverse groups by fostering meaningful connections—both with each other and with the purpose of their work—through approaches tailored specifically for board-level engagement.
One of the highlights of the toolkit is the collection of insights from sector leaders and board members. These tips and stories offer valuable wisdom—such as the importance of applying a gendered lens to governance, clearly defining roles and responsibilities, and understanding what it truly means to work in solidarity. The launch will include:
A brief introduction to the Toolkit, its purpose, and why it was created.
Insights from the sector – how the Toolkit can add value to existing governance.
An opportunity to engage with the Toolkit with peers from other services across Queensland.
The toolkit is accessible online and includes a video series and workbook, including reflective questions and activities for individuals and boards.
