Event description

Imagine strolling (and scrolling) through gorgeous trees decorated by local businesses, community groups, artists, and families. Pick up Gingerbread house Kits, Dollies on a stick, ornaments and visit Santa!

Welcome to the 2020 Festival of Trees

We invite you, your family, friends, community groups, small and large businesses to participate in this very special community event that is dedicated to raising funds for women and children in crisis and supporting the valuable work that Women's Community Shelters does.

How it Works

  1. Purchase a tree for $25.00.  Each tree comes with two sets of battery operated fairy lights.
  2. Pick up from Hornsby, Surry Hills or delivery by arrangement with the Festival Team.
  3. Decorate your tree and we would love to see the addition of treats to your tree decoration eg: grocery gift card, beauty products, restaurant vouchers, experiences, movie vouchers and more.
  4. Drop off your tree in Hornsby anytime from November 20th or deliver directly to St Ives Shopping Village between 4 - 8pm on November 30th
  5. Share our auction site.
  6. Bid on a Festival Tree for you, your family or your business.
  7. All funds raised from the Festival of Trees Auction will benefit Women's Community Shelters.

You can also pre-order a Gingerbread House Kit, a beautifully adorned "Dolly on a Stick" or simply make a donation.

Online Silent Auction

From December 1 through to December 10 our Festival of Trees Online Auction will be LIVE.  This will be an opportunity to bid and share in the delight of beautifully decorated, value filled trees, knowing that your winning bid will go directly to support the creation of another 28,000 bed nights in 2021.

About Women's Community Shelters

Women's Community Shelters works with local communities to empower them to change our collective attitudes to homelessness and domestic and family violence and take positive action against them.   In 2019 our strategic focus was to broaden the support we offer on either side of shelter accommodation, securing funding for outreach support and negotiating partnerships to provide housing and employment pathways.

The Festival of Trees™ is coordinated by Sallianne McClelland, Director of Development for Women's Community Shelters Ltd.  All funds raised in 2020 will be donated to Women's Community Shelters as part of the Charity TV Global / Adventures All Stars Television Charity Event https://wcsfundraiser.raisely....
