FFT Song & Tune Writing Awards Concert
Description
The Folk Federation of Tasmania and the Kunanyi Folk Club are proud to present the 2026 Song & Tune Awards Concert, Saturday 7th November at 7.30pm.
The Competition closed on 30th September and has 4 four awards:
Mike Silverwood Memorial Song Writing Award
Instrumental (Tune) Award
Under 19 Song or Instrumental Award (2 prizes)
Social or Environmental Justice Award
The judges will have decided on the winners and the results will be announced at the concert. Prizes range from $100 - $250.
All entrants to the Awards are invited to play and this is your chance to enjoy a cross-section of Tasmanian folk music and song.
On the night you'll get to have your say too - there's a People’s Choice Award which is decided on by the audience.
This is a different format to the usual Kunanyi Folk Club - but full of unknown or unexpected delights! Come and support our Tassie folkies by bearing witness their artistry, creativity and straight-up hard work.
Dinner is available from 6.00pm but must be booked separately with the Fern Tree Tavern on bit.ly/FernTreeTavern, on 6239 1171.
