FIC Training - WaterRIDE Flood Intelligence


Event description

Aim:
This course aims to teach members of the Flood Intelligence Reserve (FIC) basic skills when using the waterRIDE flood forecasting system.

Objectives:

Analyse flooding information to determine "what it means", queries, GIS intelligence, property specific information, locating min/max, flood extents, evacuation routes, gauge linkage, rate of rise, vulnerability, and property photos..

    Assumed knowledge/Prerequisites:

    It is assumed course participants have completed the on training for WaterRIDE "Essentials"

    Facilitator:

      Facilitators provided by Worley Parsons (WaterRIDE)

      Venue:

      • This is online training.
      • A TEAMS meeting request will be sent to participants via calendar invite prior to training.
      • Login details will be provided on the day.

      What will I need to bring:

      • Your laptop with a minimum of 2 screens, a mouse, keyboard and charger
      • Pen and paper
