PBCBA has been accepted to attend the Florida Sugar Cane League’s All-Day Tour, an incredible journey through the heart of Florida’s sugarcane country. This is a unique opportunity to explore the agricultural backbone of our state and see firsthand how sugarcane is grown, harvested, and processed! This tour is FREE to members!!
What You’ll Experience:
✅ Travel through miles of sugarcane fields with expert guides explaining the industry’s history and environmental practices.
✅ Witness a live sugarcane cutting demonstration!
✅ Visit BMP (Best Management Practices) boards to learn how water conservation and sustainability play a role in sugarcane farming.
✅ Stop by Lake Okeechobee and take in the breathtaking views of one of Florida’s largest lakes.
✅ Get an inside look at the U.S. Sugar Mill – stay on the bus as we drive through and learn about sugar milling!
✅ Visit the Clewiston Historical Exhibit to explore local agricultural history.
✅ Enjoy a complimentary lunch courtesy of the Florida Sugar Cane League.

Important Notes:
🔹 Must be 18 or over!
🔹 Closed-toe shoes are required.
🔹 There will be short periods of walking on gravel and uneven terrain.
🔹 The bus is not equipped for motorized wheelchairs, but walkers are welcome.
🔹 Expect some sun exposure – dress accordingly!
🔹 Bring a sweater for cooler temperatures on the bus and in Clewiston.
