Field Trip We Rock the Spectrum Edmond Sensory Gym SPED Focused

EPIC Families,

We are excited to announce this field trip designed exclusively for our special education students, providing a supportive environment tailored to their needs and interests while ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience. (Please note that this field trip welcomes siblings as well as students with special needs.) At We Rock the Spectrum in Edmond, students will find activities ranging from swings to a zip line to a trampoline. They will also find trains, a play kitchen and a quiet area if you need to take a deep breath. This SPED Focused field trip will take place on Thursday, December 12th from 1:00–3:00 pm. During our time at We Rock the Spectrum Edmond (64 E 33rd St, Edmond, OK 73013), we will have a time of free play and make new friends all in an environment designed for children with all abilities. CHECK-IN PROCEDURE: Upon arrival, please check in with an Epic staff member who will be in Epic gear and located at the front entrance of We Rock the Spectrum, Edmond. We’d also love to see you in your Epic gear! 

Epic Field Trip COST:  The cost is $10 for each student. (If the cost is keeping you from signing up, please note that we offer scholarships to cover the cost of the field trip. To receive a scholarship, mark that you need a scholarship in the question section at the end of the sign-up.)

ITINERARY: We will begin our day by checking in at the entrance of We Rock the Spectrum, Edmond. Then we will fill out the liability waiver and pay. Once everyone has checked

• 1:00 Open playtime 
• 3:00 Activities will conclude at this time.

POLICIES: You will register for a ticket using Humanitix which will hold your spot for the field trip as a reservation. Parents, please register yourself and each of your Epic students who will be participating. This enables the school and the location to staff and plan appropriately. Our field trips do have a maximum capacity. Therefore, we ask that when registering your students, you only register Epic enrolled Pre-K through 12th grade students so that the spots are filled by our students.

Students cannot be dropped off to attend a field trip without a parent or guardian. You will need your student’s Epic ID number and teacher’s name when signing up for the field trip in Humanitix.

This is a public event and photographs and or video may be taken during the activity. If you prefer your student to not have a photograph or video taken, please let our Epic staff know during check in. 

Sensory Bags: Sensory bags will be available to check out for use at this event. Upon arrival, see any Epic Family Engagement team member to check a bag out and return all sensory bags to an Epic Family Engagement team member before leaving the event. There is a limited supply of sensory bags. 

Cancellations: As a reminder, if you sign up to come but are unable to make it, please cancel your reservation using your Humanitix confirmation email. This will open up spots for other families.

What is the inclement Weather Plan? If we have inclement weather, we will send out communication by email through Humanitix to let you know if the field trip has been canceled.

Bolsas sensoriales: Las bolsas sensoriales estarán disponibles para su uso en este evento. A su llegada, acuda a cualquier miembro del equipo de Participación Familiar de Epic para retirar una bolsa y devuelva todas las bolsas sensoriales a un miembro del equipo de Participación Familiar de Epic antes de abandonar el evento. Hay un suministro limitado de bolsas sensoriales.

CANCELACIONES:

¿Cómo puedo cancelar la reserva de mi familia? Como recordatorio, si se inscribe para venir y no puede hacerlo, por favor cancele su reserva. Para cancelar su reserva para este evento, vaya al correo electrónico de confirmación de Humanitix. A continuación, haz clic en gestionar pedido. A continuación, reembolso/cancelación. Por último, seleccione TODO o seleccione manualmente las entradas que desea cancelar, haga clic en revisar y pulse el botón cancelar. Esto abrirá plazas para otras familias.
