Event description

Join us on Thursday July 31st as we host James Perry from Canberra’s BEDST presenting ‘The Coffees We Love’ — a tasting menu of coffees from award-winning international roasters and coffee producers.

Since 2021, James has been curating a selection of the cleanest and most delicious light roasted coffees, initially as a Nordic coffee pop-up in a bakery, and more recently at their Canberra coffee shop and online store, BEDST. This is their first time presenting these coffees in Melbourne.

"To us, this style of roasting best presents flavours of origin, varietal and processing methods. They last well for up to 3 months after roast, often presenting their best flavours after at least 4 weeks. We wanted to celebrate these bright and clean light roast coffees, and help encourage coffee that's been rested.” — BEDST

At ‘The Coffees We Love’, James will be brewing, serving, and taking guests through a group tasting of three coffees sourced from Tim Wendelboe (Oslo, Norway), Flower Child (Oakland, USA), and Sweven Coffee (Bristol, UK). As well as introducing each of the coffees, James will talk through their approach at BEDST, their choice of the April brewer, and their preferred brewing recipes.

If terms like gesha, Nordic-style, and carbonic maceration honey process pique your interest, then this is the tasting event for you.

Tickets are $35, or $70 with a limited edition tote bag.
