More info to come, but this is roughly how it works:

- ON THE THURSDAY
You have the option of dropping your camp bag and/or bike to us in Melbourne, so we can transport these for you on the Friday.- FIFTY FIFTY FRIDAY
We'll rendezvous at a country pub around 6pm, about 1-2 hours from Melbourne by train. There's an optional route (20-50km) you can ride too if you're up for the extra challenge. Friday is your chance to make new mates, rekindle old friendships, and importantly, load up on carbohydrates. We'll have a camping location set up within a couple of kms of the pub.

- FIFTY FIFTY SATURDAY
You wake up, find a café for breakfast and coffee (of course), then choose from either 50km or 75km set route options. While you ride, our support team will transport your camp bag. The route will be as much gravel, fire trails, and small country roads as we can wrangle. We'll keep you off main roads as much as possible. There will be an opportunity to purchase lunch along the route in a small country town (tbc).

- FIFTY FIFTY SATURDAY NIGHT
For those who want to come and hang, but not ride, we see you on Saturday evening. Saturday night will feature a delicious meal, ice cold froths, fresh showers, and most importantly, good tunes at a community hall. Boogie till your legs tell you it's time for bed, and then slide off to your tent.

- FIFTY FIFTY SUNDAY
On Sunday morning, it's rise and shine, then back on the bike for a final roll. The route (max 20km or so) will end at another town with a train connection to get you home. More location details released mid-Feb.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

In order to challenge and disrupt the gender imbalance in cycling, we have curated the ticket structure to ensure that over 50% of participants are women, trans, non-binary and any other gender identifying mates. If you're a cis man who wants to ride, get on board and support your women, trans, femme, non-binary and gender diverse mates to give this event a go with you!

Fifty Fifty is a ride, not a race. You can go as slow or as fast as you like. You can challenge yourself by choosing shorter or longer routes. You can make it a one-day ride, or a three-day ride. Our Meltdown Bus will be there for you on the Saturday in case of illness, injury, mechanical failure, or simply if you've bitten off more than you can chew.As a group of friends who want to have as much fun as you do, we are capping rider numbers at 100 to keep everything chilled and manageable. Gather your mates and sign up quick before tickets sell out!

*REFUND POLICY*
~If you can't make it for any reason, we welcome you to pass your ticket on to someone else. We don't offer refunds for no-shows.
~Or, you can request a cash refund of 75% of the registration fee via Humanitix, up until 14 days before the event.
~If the event can't run in April 2024 because of extreme weather or another reason, we'll postpone to May 2024. If the new date doesn't work for you, we will provide a full refund.

*THE FINE PRINT*
~We are a group of friends who hope to make adventures on bikes more fun and accessible. Please keep in mind that we are not an official event organisation. Throughout the weekend you are responsible for your own safety, both on the bike and off it.
~It's also always a good idea to be covered by rider insurance, organisations like Bicycle Network (and others) offer great insurance packages from $10 per month. Ride responsibly, look out for each other, and let us know how we can help make your weekend awesome.
