    Event description

Fight for Planet A; The Holistic Food Journey to Sustainability

In conjunction with ABC TV’s phenomenal new climate series, Fight for Planet A, Eco Styles is thrilled to extend the food sustainability discussion from episode 3 of the series, with this event, The Holistic Food Journey to Sustainability. The average Australian diet produces almost 3 tonnes of greenhouse gases per year. We will hear unique perspectives from three leading experts on how we can collectively and individually reduce our food emissions regardless of what stage you are in this journey.

Joining our discussion is one of episode 3’s featured experts, Jess Panegyres. In the episode, Jess speaks to Craig Reucassel about the rate of deforestation in Australia and how we can still have effective and profitable farming practises without the large amount of land clearing.

    Our speakers:

Jess Panegyres - Environmentalist and Forests expert will speak on Deforestation and the Need for Systemic Change.

Natalie Isaacs – Founder of 1 Million Women will speak on Reducing Household Waste to Zero.

Jennifer Nini – Founder of Eco Warrior Princess will speak on Growing Your Own Food and Permaculture.

The event will be hosted and moderated by Nina Gbor, Founder of Eco Styles.

This is a free, online event but registration is required. The Zoom link will be sent out the day before the event to registered participants.

We encourage all participants to watch episode 3 of Fight For planet A before the event. It will air on ABC TV at 8:30pm on August 25th. It will also be on iview afterwards.

Speakers will also answer some viewers' questions so if there is anything you would like to ask the speakers, please send your questions through the Eco Styles' Facebook page messenger or through Instagram: @eco.styles. Looking forward to virtually seeing you at the event!
