Online Event
ResourceSmart Schools
Event description
As part of Sustainability in Schools Month, Sustainability Victoria's ResourceSmart Schools is proud to collaborate with Ozharvest FEAST program to host an informative workshop on tackling food waste at school.
Let’s fight food waste together!
- 7.6 million tonnes of food is wasted from farm to fork every year
- Costing the economy over $36.6 billion
- Australian students throw away 5 million sandwiches and 3 million pieces of fruit every year!
- Less than 5% of children eat the right amount of fruit and vegetables.
FEAST (Food Education and Sustainability Training) is the essential ingredient for any school putting the planet first, addressing the issue of food waste and inspiring the next generation to become future change-makers.
Please note this event will take place via Microsoft teams. This event is designed specifically for Victorian schools and stakeholders.
If you are not a school or stakeholder and interested in this workshop, please contact RegionalRSS@sustainability.vic.gov.au.
