Event description
CIN Final Presentation Power Resilience Platform
Date and time: Friday 28 November 2025, 1.30pm-2.30pm
Location: Boardroom 105 on level 12 (12.105), Faculty of Engineering and IT (CB11), University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Sydney, Australia
Join us for the final presentation of the Connectivity Innovation Network’s Power Resilience Platform project, led by A/Professor Wenjing Jia (UTS), Dr Fenghui Ren and Professor Jun Yan (University of Wollongong), and Dr Vinh Bui, Professor Brendan Kelaher and Dr Ali Reza Alaei (Southern Cross University).
The Power Resilience Platform brings together three research streams that explore how emerging technologies can improve the reliability and resilience of telecommunications and power networks during emergencies and natural hazards.
Across the project, the teams have investigated the use of digital twin models for monitoring and managing power resilience, multi-agent systems to support decision making during network disruptions, and drone-enabled data collection to improve real-time situation awareness for power infrastructure.
This session follows the Stage 1 presentation held on 19 August 2025 and marks the project’s completion. The final presentation will bring together the latest findings from across the three research streams and outline how these approaches can support more resilient connectivity for communities across New South Wales.
Why attend?
A valuable session for anyone working in emergency services, utilities, telecommunications, digital infrastructure, government technology or resilience planning who wants to understand how new tools and methods can strengthen the resilience of essential services.
