Join us for a free, 3-hour interactive Financial Empowerment workshop delivered through Women's Legal Service QLD at Gympie Community Place.
Holding this session in November serves as a meaningful lead-up to the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, which begins on November 25โthe International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
Tailored specifically for women who have experienced or are experiencing domestic and family violence, this session is designed for those who have experienced financial abuse or hardship, feel unsure or overwhelmed about money, or simply want to build confidence and practical skills in a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment.
The workshop is delivered by an experienced female financial counsellor who understands the impact of domestic and family violence and financial abuse.
What We Will Cover:
๐ฌ Building money confidence in a private, respectful space
๐ ๏ธ Real-life skills and practical tools you can use right away
๐ Credit reports made simple (what scores mean, how the Australian system works, and how to check yours for free)
๐ Budgeting made easy and saving tips that actually work for food, bills, and transport
๐ณ Avoiding Buy Now Pay Later traps, tax debts, FINES/SPER, and toll debts
๐ฐ Superannuation basics, access options, and available grants or financial assistance
