Dr. Tolu Fajumi is a highly experienced Senior Forensic Psychiatrist with over a decade of specialized forensic and rehabilitation psychiatry practice. She brings extensive expertise in the assessment and treatment of complex mental health disorders within secure and community settings. Her career spans work across international healthcare systems, including the UK and Australia, with a particular focus on medium-secure environments and rehabilitation pathways. Dr. Fajumi is recognized for her comprehensive approach to risk assessment and management, experience in mental health tribunals, and commitment to patient-centered recovery models. She is passionate about teaching and mentoring, contributing significantly to medical education programs and trainee development throughout her career.
Dr Fajumi is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and holds specialist medical registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency. Dr Fajumi completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) at King’s College, London, UK. She completed her post-graduate training in Psychiatry in Sydney, Australia, and Manchester, UK, gaining Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists UK in 2008. She completed her advanced training in Forensic Psychiatry in the Northwest of England in 2014.
She is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Psychology, Psychiatry and the Law and formerly a faculty member of the RANZCP Forensic Faculty.
