Description

This training series on financial management is designed to equip individuals and organizations with the necessary skills to understand, interpret and navigate financial reports and processes. The series covers a wide range of topics including financial statements, budgeting, financial planning, and sustainability. Participants will learn about the roles and responsibilities of board members, executive directors, and other leaders in the budgeting process. The training will also provide insights into financial literacy and how to prevent fiscal fraud, which are critical for any nonprofit organization’s success. With a focus on practical and applicable knowledge, the training series aims to empower nonprofits with the tools they need to make informed financial decisions, ensure financial stability, and maximize their impact. By the end of the series, participants will have a solid foundation in financial management, enabling them to better understand overall organization’s financial health, identify areas for improvement, and take appropriate actions to achieve their financial goals. This training series will be presented by FiscAlign.

  • Jamie D. Levy, MPA, MA, CRFM

    Jamie is the President and Chief Vision Officer of JDLevy & Associates. Jamie is also a faculty member at Indiana University, where he teaches in the graduate and professional programs in not-for-profit management and development through the IU Lilly Family School of Philanthropy, School of Public and Environmental Affairs, and The Fund Raising School. He is also a member of Pi Alpha Alpha, the national honor society for public affairs, and administration. Jamie is a published writer and keynote speaker. Through his teaching and consulting, he has trained nearly 50,000 professionals from some 30 countries. He has become recognized for his expertise in the area of organizational development, especially as it relates to philanthropic sustainability and development. Jamie is an officially designated United States Department of Labor Nonprofit and Fundraising industry field expert helping to shape the context of our profession. He is a dedicated, loving husband and father.

  • Wes Terry, MBA, CPA

    Wes is the President of Budd, Terry & Associates Certified Public Accountants providing responsive and reliable expertise to businesses, nonprofit organizations and individuals. Wes is exceptionally skilled at working with manufacturing, nonprofit and government entities. Mr. Terry brings expertise as a former government and nonprofit auditor and nonprofit tax specialist. He brings unique expertise in understanding nonprofit organizations and their challenges, whether they be small grassroots organizations or large international nonprofits. Mr. Terry is an active volunteer in his community serving as a board member and providing financial expertise to local charitable organizations. He is a member of the Indiana CPA Society, AICPA, Perry County Chamber of Commerce, and Dubois County Chamber of Commerce. Most importantly he is a loving husband and father.
