Financial support services and programs available to farmers - Webinar
Event description
Let’s keep it real — the past few years have been challenging for Tasmanian farmers, with drought, fire, market uncertainty, and more.
There is a range of financial support services and programs available for eligible farmers, and this webinar is your chance to learn more about what is on offer, how it works, and how to access it.
In this session, we will be joined by:
Brendan Leys is a Farm Household Allowance Case Officer at Services Australia. Over the past 8 years, Brendan has worked with many Tasmanian farmers through the Farm Household Allowance program and is keen to ensure all farmers know what support is out there. Brendan will discuss the Farm Household Allowance financial support and other support services available through the Australian Government.
Steve Hansen is part of the Rural Business Tasmania financial counselling team, specialising in small businesses and advising for Business Tasmania’s Tasmanian Business Advice Service. His dairy farming background and extensive experience helps local businesses navigate financial challenges and opportunities with confidence. [PR1] Steve will chat through the different financial services available through Rural Business Tasmania.
There will also be time for Q & A.
We know the strength of farming communities comes from people helping each other and breaking down barriers to seeking help. Even if you don’t currently need financial support, knowing what’s available means you can share that information with others who might.
We hope you can join us and welcome you to share with your community and networks.
