Financial Wellness Week - Townsville and Palm Island

Price FREE Get tickets

Event description

Financial Wellness Week is coming to Townsville and Palm Island this July!

Come down to your nearest location over the three days to get your money matters sorted with banks, super funds, financial counsellors and government services there to sit down for a yarn and answer any questions you have.

To get the most benefit, remember to bring along your identification such as your driver's licence, birth certificate, passport or other documents you have available. It can also be helpful to have your Tax File Number, CRN and bills with you if you need assistance with a specific issue.

We’ll be doing money health checks, finding lost superannuation and unclaimed monies and providing referrals to culturally safe places for extra support.

Free community lunch provided from 10:30am each day

First Nations Foundation, which has previously reconnected Indigenous Australians with more than $26 million in superannuation to date through its award-winning Big Super Day Out events, is focused on bridging the financial literacy gap between Indigenous Australians and the wider population.

Financial Wellness Week takes a holistic approach to providing financial services to the community, acting as a point of contact for First Nations people to access a hub of financial literacy workshops and break-out sessions with selected industry providers and government departments.
