Find a story. Join the adventure exploring one of Maui’s tales that lives and is held within the children’s garden of the Auckland Botanic Gardens.
These 45-minute sessions are a playful space for kōrero, imagining, and creating—where tamariki can follow the trail of a living story and find one of their own to take home in a little book to draw, write, and fill with wonder.
Two sessions:
Friday 3rd October, 10am OR 11am.
All whānau welcome. Best suited for children aged 5–10.
Caregiver supervision required. Booking essential to hold your place.
FREE – All materials provided.

Emma Hinton (Ngāti Maniapoto) is an experienced storyteller and facilitator who transitioned from a 25-year film career to publish Finding Grace Kimihia a Grace, a bilingual picture book. She founded The Light Library, curating workshops and books to nurture fellow creatives. Emma lives in Waitākere, Auckland, with her daughter. She is passionate about the power of storytelling to shape our future and well-being.
