Find My Spark Workshop - Articulating and Measuring the Behaviours that Define Entrepreneurship - Hard measures of "soft" skills

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

This workshop will review the behavioural competencies that characterise entrepreneurs and innovative thinkers, and describe how they can be measured and assessed in a way that is both systematic and meaningful.

Drawing on work by the OECD, WEF, and other organisations, Dr Rick van der Zwan and Noel Thomas will describe a taxonomy of behaviours that characterise competencies like Problem Solving, Flexible Thinking, Creativity, Team Work, Integrity, Grit, Optimism, and so on. They will go on to show how, using clearly articulated descriptions of the component behaviours, schools can assess and report the development of those skills across years and within learning opportunities.

Leveraging their work in schools in Australia and internationally, they will present data and a case study to illustrate the power of the measures, and how they be used to inform teaching and learning.
