Join us 6:30pm 22 September to learn more about how your involvement and support will make our movement stronger.
----------------------
Mehreen Faruqi is the Greens Senator for NSW and Spokesperson for Anti-racism, Education, Housing, Industry, International Aid, and Animal Welfare. She is a civil and environmental engineer and a life-long activist for social and environmental justice.
She became the first Muslim woman to sit in any Australian parliament when she joined the NSW Parliament in 2013. In 2018, she took her proudly feminist and anti-racist approach to challenging the status quo to federal parliament when she joined the Senate.
Her memoir and manifesto Too Migrant, Too Muslim, Too Loud, was released in July 2021.
Takesa Frank is the youngest Greens candidate for election to Shoalhaven Council. As an Indigenous woman, Takesa is proud to represent her culture and hopes to become a voice for Aboriginal people in the Shoalhaven, listening and raising awareness for those who are often misrepresented or pushed to the side.
Damien Atkins is a member of the Blacktown Greens and former Greens candidate for Greenway.
Tamanna Shah is a Cherrybrook mum with a background in law and has spent a career in banking regulation. In 2021 she is standing for election to Hornsby Shire Council for the Greens.
