FAQs

  • What is Find Your Pace?

Find Your Pace is a four-week wellbeing campaign run by the Women's Recreational Running Network (WRRN). Whether you walk, jog, or run, you're welcome to join us. The focus is on wellbeing, community, and enjoying movement at your own pace.

  • What is WRRN?

The Women's Recreational Running Network (WRRN) is a free, friendly community for women who enjoy walking, jogging, or running. Based in Adelaide, we host regular social runs throughout the week in various locations across the city. Our focus is on wellbeing, connection, and creating a welcoming environment where women of all experience levels can be active together.

  • Who can participate in Find your Pace?

All Adelaide University female students are welcome to join the campaign and enter the weekly prize draws. If you're not a student, you're still welcome to join the runs and be part of our friendly community.

  • Do I need to be a runner?

Not at all! This campaign is designed for people of all fitness levels. It's not a race, nor is it a training program. Whether you're completely new to running, prefer walking, or already run regularly, there's a place for you. The goal is simply to get moving, enjoy the outdoors, and connect with others at your own pace.

  • How much does it cost?

    Participation is free!

  • When does the campaign run?

The campaign runs from 6 October to 29 October, with sessions held every Tuesday and Thursday. We'll kick things off with a launch event on 6 October and finish with a small celebration on 29 October to mark the end of the campaign and celebrate everyone's participation.

  • Do I need to attend every session?

No. You’re welcome to attend as many or as few sessions as you’d like. Every step counts, and we’d love to see you whenever you can make it. Find Your Pace is all about participation, not performance, so join in whenever it works for you.

  • What routes will we use?

We'll explore a variety of Adelaide routes throughout the campaign, including:

    • Week 1: Bridge to Bridge

    • Week 2: Golf Course Loop

    • Week 3: Swing Bridge

    • Week 4: Botanic Gardens

  • Do I need any special equipment?

No special equipment is required. Just wear comfortable clothing and suitable walking or running shoes. There are water fountains available along the routes, but you're welcome to bring your own water bottle if you prefer. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable and ready to enjoy the time.

  • How do I enter the prize draws?

Students who wish to enter the prize draws may be asked to provide their student ID, as required by the grant conditions. Prize winners will be randomly selected each week from participating students who have opted into the prize draws.

  • What happens if the weather is bad?

Updates regarding severe weather or other changes will be communicated to registered participants.

  • How do I register?

Register through the event page and select the sessions you'd like to attend. Registration is completely free and helps us plan each session, especially the launch and closing events, where refreshments will be provided. It also helps us make sure we're ready to welcome everyone and create the best possible experience for participants.

  • I am ready to run. When and where should I meet the group?

Great! Meet us on the University Footbridge near the Kaurna Learning Circle at 5:15 pm for a 5:20 pm start. We recommend arriving a few minutes early so you can say hello, meet the group, and get settled before we head off.

  • I enjoy the runs, but the campaign has finished. What should I do?

Worry not! The Women's Recreational Running Network (WRRN) continues to meet and run every Tuesday and Thursday after the campaign ends. We’d love for you to stay involved and continue being part of our friendly and supportive community. Whether you walk, jog, or run, you're always welcome to join us on the road.
