Description

Why do we train our bodies but not our voices?

Most of us haven't changed how we use our voices since our teens. Since then, business owners have improvised through every client pitch, supplier negotiation, team meeting and hard conversation.

When you run the business, your voice is your sales team, your brand and your leadership. High-stakes moments are a poor place to start learning to use it.

Vocal training can't happen in a tense, stressful environment, so ours starts in a playground.

As kids, we learned to trip and fall on the playground, dust ourselves off and get back to playing. As adults, we've lost that. We stop experimenting, we stop making noise, and every mistake feels expensive, especially when the business rests on you.

At Vocal Playground, we give you that back. You try things, get them wrong, laugh about it and go again. By the time you're in front of the client, the investor or the room, your voice already knows what to do.

The problems we help you navigate:

"I lose confidence the moment I have to pitch or quote a price."

  • Breath and voice techniques that keep you steady when the stakes go up

  • Practise speaking with clarity and authority

  • Learn pacing and pauses so your key point lands

"I know my business inside out, but clients don't always feel it when I talk."

  • Identify your natural communication style and how to use it on purpose

  • Build a stronger, more deliberate speaking presence

"Negotiations and tough conversations make my voice tighten."

  • Rehearse pushing back, holding your price and saying no

  • Practise recovering when you get interrupted or your mind goes blank

  • Build habits that stay steady under pressure

"I have to lead a team and be heard the first time."

  • Deliver updates, feedback and direction with authority

  • Practise holding the floor in meetings

  • Bring a team member or your whole team, since it works well for groups

"I've never had voice training. Will I be out of my depth?"

  • No experience needed

  • Small, supportive room of business owners working on the same thing

  • Vocal coaching from Helen and pitch-room feedback from Sarah at every step

"I want something I can use on Monday, not theory I'll forget."

  • Leave with techniques for your very next client call or meeting

  • Practise low stakes so when it comes to the real deal, you're ready
