Event description

To mark the beginning of each new season, Finding Nature Finds Nature. This time round I'm thrilled to be collaborating with the One & Only Guy Williams and his new enterprise ziranjiti

As we move on from warmer months and a wild season of human elections Finding Nature and ziranjiti invites you, your family and friends on a winter journey into the wonderful and wild world of ant politics at the Western Sydney Parklands.

This adventure will equip our travellers with little more than wonder, a hand lens and a meal from the one and only Gus_tronomy as we explore the social and political dynamics of ant colonies.

Amongst some of the ideas we will seek to share and uncover on the day will be the political phenomena guiding our inveterate ant (almost all) sisters (you're learning already - you didn't know ants were usually female!), including their unique approach to decision-making, majority concession to maintain cohesion, form networks, challenge traditional political frameworks and the role of ant technology and infrastructure in decision processes.

We'll chat, wander, explore, investigate, be nourished, find belonging and trade wisdom.

With Guy as our host and Gus as our cook, this is an experience not to be missed!

NB. Kids are very welcome.

NB again. Gus_tronomy will serve vegetarian food for lunch and we'll have coffee at arrival.
