***Kindly note that this walk has been designed to promote fitness and will require "some" fitness to finish. We like to keep a steady pace during our walks, completing 8 kilometres in slightly over two hours. Definitely not a power walk, however there will be some inclines and steps. Therefore, we suggest that you carefully review all event information and ensure that you can keep up with the group. If you don't engage in any physical activity during the week or lead a sedentary lifestyle, our walk may not be appropriate for you at this stage***

Come along with us as we explore the gorgeous Fingal! We’ll follow a scenic trail leading us to the beautiful Boardwalk at Cape Schanck. Have you visited the iconic boardwalk at Cape Schanck? We highly recommend this location for photos, especially.

As we hike along the winding path, we’ll be treated to stunning views of Bass Strait and the soothing roar of the ocean below.

Fingal is a peaceful hidden gem on the Mornington Peninsula, and we’re excited to share it with you. This moderate 8 km hike is sure to inspire you.

Don’t worry if you’re joining solo—most of our hikers do, and we’d love to have you with us! 😉

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE WALK:

- Some inclines

- Toilet at the beginning and half way

WHAT TO BRING:

- Water

- Snack. Ie: Banana, high protein snack, Jam sandwich.

- Electrolyte energy drink

WHAT TO WEAR:

- A good pair of walking shoes is necessary, which could be hiking shoes or boots. It is recommended to avoid jogging runners as they may not provide enough grip, although it is not a strict requirement. No open toe shoes.

- Decent socks. Ie: a mix of wool, nylon & elastane. Non bulky (Visit hiking stores)

- Compact jacket

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

This walk is NOT suitable for children (18+), babies in carriers or for people who do not walk more than 5km’s at a time. This is a National Park, therefore no dogs or animals allowed.
