The Fiordland Wapiti Foundation and Te Anau is proud to announce the Winter Wapiti Weekend, a unique gathering for hunting and outdoor enthusiasts. Taking place in a scenic Te Anau the gate way to Fiordland, this event will bring together attendees, events and stall holders who share a passion for the great outdoors and all things hunting. The Fiordland Wapiti Foundation is committed to promoting sustainable hunting and wildlife conservation, and the Trade Fair will be a platform to raise awareness and support for these important issues. With a focus on education and community, the event promises to be a memorable experience for all who attend.

Film premiere | ‘Beyond the Odds’ | Fri 30 June | Fiordland Cinema
The story of the Fiordland Wapiti Foundation that has been two years in the making. Be one of the first to see this epic showcase—a behind the scenes documentary of the most successful hunter-led conservation project in New Zealand. This docco has a local-focussed insight into the day-to-day work carried out by the FWF volunteer team, the projects they are presently undertaking, the challenges they face, and the spin-off for the surrounding Southland community. (Multiple session times with repeat screenings Saturday and Sunday).

Trade Show | Sat 1—Sun 2 July | Fiordland Community Events Centre
The Trade Show will feature a wide variety of exhibitors showcasing the latest gear and equipment, including hunting rifles, bows, and accessories, as well as outdoor clothing and footwear. Visitors will have the opportunity to talk to experts in the field, learn about new products, and compare different brands.

Seminars (During the Trade Show)
For those interested in hunting, there will be demonstrations and seminars on a range of topics, including conservation, survival skills, animal tracking, and ethical hunting practices. Experienced hunters will share their knowledge and answer questions from attendees, making the Trade Fair an invaluable learning experience for those looking to improve their hunting skills.

We will be hosting an Online Silent Auction from Fri 23rd June until the Sat 1st July 9pm.
