Come for a guided walk and learn about fire management within our national parks. Staff from the Fire Management team will lead you on a 2.5km guided walk starting and finishing at Mount Lofty Summit showcasing some of the stunning landscapes of Cleland National Park in relation to the prescribed burning undertaken by the Department for Environment and Water. They'll discuss why we conduct prescribed burns; look at how plants respond to fire; and gain an understanding of how fire benefits the landscape.

Accessibility

A moderate fitness level is required as the walk will incorporate some short steep sections (no more than 450 metre long) of trail. There will be regular stops on the up-hill sections to allow people to catch their breath.
