Myrrhee Brigade, Fifteen Mile Creek Outdoor School and CFA Community Safety are hosting a FREE Fire Safety Planning information session for the community of Myrrhee and surrounds.
Saturday 11 January 2025
8.45 am - 12 noon
Outdoor School Fifteen Mile Creek, 692 Benalla-Whitfield Rd, Greta South VIC 3675
Lunch included. The event is FREE
The session aims to:
- provide you with the opportunity to expand your understanding of your fire risk, both geographically and personally through an interactive and hands on experience
- provide you with the information you need to take action to develop your individual fire plans
- assist you to make realistic and adaptable fire plans, which consider your own personal capacity and capability
- encourage you to undertake ongoing preparedness and planning activities
- help you to enact your fire plans when required to reduce loss of life and property
The seasonal bushfire outlook will be discussed as there is an increased risk of fire indicated for north-east Victoria.
