Fire to Flourish Cultural Burn #1

Join us for a full-day cultural burning workshop featuring a Welcome to Country and cultural protocols led by Jagun Alliance Cultural Advisors. The day will include insightful presentations on cultural fire practices, and—subject to availability—a guest talk by fire ecologist Andy Baker. A key component of the workshop will be a Cultural Burn demonstration, typically smaller in scale due to time allocated for presentations and discussion. As part of the burn, participants will also be involved in basic monitoring and assessment activities to better understand the ecological and cultural outcomes of cultural fire practices. This workshop offers an opportunity to learn from experienced practitioners, deepen cultural understanding, and witness traditional fire methods in action.
