Green Movie Night - "Fighting Fire With Fire"

The Green Movie Night series presents a screening of two films, "California: Fighting Fire With Fire" and "Your Home Can Survive a Wildfire."

Our first film explores the shift in attitudes about managing wildfires, from total suppression to using “good fire” as a tool. It includes indigenous perspectives on ancestral practices working with fire. Speakers include Zoë Fung, Wildfire Conservation Coordinator from the CC County Resource Conservation District and Michelle Rinehart from the CC County Fire Protection District.

We will also share a brief film from the National Fire Protection Association highlighting actions every homeowner can take to mitigate fire risk. Our speakers will facilitate a discussion on home hardening.

This is a FREE event and is open to everyone. Enjoy light snacks.
