Fireside Annual Fundraiser and Concert!

The chill is in the air, don’t forget to join Lakeshore Rush for our annual Fireside concert and Fundraiser on Saturday November 22nd at 6PM!

Our programmatic theme for this season is titled “You can dance if you want to,” which focuses around the lighter side of contemporary music, all mostly inspired by dance. The Fireside will highlight this theme with music by Jeffrey Chappell, Pedro Ituralde, Carl Fruhling, Amos Gillespie and Nino Rota. Performed by Laura McLaughlin, Amos Gillespie, Elena Doubovitskaya, Chris Ferrer, and a very special guest artist, singer Rebecca Prescott. The reception will be sponsored generously by JB Alberto’s Pizza, with other snacks, desserts and beverages provided. Don’t miss this cozy evening!

Lakeshore Rush is an integral part of the Chicago community, the city they call home. Over the past nine years the ensemble made appearances at the Chicago Symphony Center, WFMT – Chicago’s classical radio station, Ear Taxi Festival, Chicago Cultural Center, the PianoForte Foundation, Fulton Street Collective, Garfield Park Conservatory in partnership with the Honnold Foundation, Constellation, New Music Chicago Presents Series in partnership with the Alliance for the Great Lakes, the Thirsty Ears Festival – Chicago’s only classical music street festival, Epiphany Center for the Arts, Guarneri Hall, and more. Lakeshore Rush is an active member of New Music Chicago, and has commissioned several works by local established composers, including works by Beth Bradfish, Seth Boustead, Griffin Candey, Kyong Mee Choi, Grace Baugher Dunlap, Amos Gillespie, Jonathan Hannau, Marc Mellits, Laura Schwendinger, and Roger Zare.

Tickets: General Admission - $35 online, $40 at the door. Student/Senior - $25 online, $30 at the door.
