"Fireside" Chat: Prof Andrew Harris

Join us in an intimate conversation between Rupal Ismin and Prof Andrew Harris, Director of the Centre for Translational Research, and co-founder of Novalith Technology, a spin off of the University of Sydney.  Andrew will be talking about his role across both this academic institution and with several influential startups, how his work with industry has benefitted his research, and advice on how to navigate the pathway to commercalisation.

Novalith Technology is commercialising a novel lithium extraction and refining technology that directly uses and sequester carbon dioxide to provide a low carbon, sustainable approach to lithium chemicals production.

Prof Andrew Harris is an internationally renowned engineer working at the interface between industry and academia to achieve a sustainable world. He is an expert at interdisciplinary, translational research and has developed and commercialised technologies in climate-tech, robotics, AI, advanced materials, energy, additive manufacturing, construction-tech and ag-tech. This includes work with venture backed start-ups Novalith Technology, Phantm Biomaterials, Sicona Battery Technologies, FreeFAB™, SunSHIFT™, BioScout and Presien.

The Sydney Knowledge Hub Reception is located on Level 2. 3) Bathrooms: There is an accessible toilet located in the hallway leading from Reception. Follow the pink line on the floor.
