Fireside Chat with Jean Michel Habineza

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Jean Michel Habineza grew up in the wake of the 1994 genocide in Rwanda, one of the gravest atrocities in recent human history, where almost overnight friends and neighbours became deadly enemies.

Jean Michel is part of the movement to bring Rwanda back to a state of genuine, lasting peace and he knows exactly how to do that. The lessons he's learnt through his experiences in Rwanda and his work establishing peace and true reconciliation, have given him a wealth of wisdom and practical advice that every human being can benefit from.

We'd love you to join us for an intimate fireside chat with Jean Michel, where he'll shed light on why human beings struggle to get along with each but also how we can become less divided as a species. How we can throw out the ideas that divide us, not the people we disagree with.

Event attendees will be welcome to join the discussion, ask Jean Michel questions, or simply listen in and be inspired!

In the meantime, you can encounter Jean Michel's applicable wisdom in his recent chat with Just Peoples cofounders, Johanna and Christey on Just Peoples podcast Why Give a Buck?
