First CoFP 2023 Event - NSW Election Caretaker Period / Parliamentary Budget Office

The Community of Finance Professionals welcomes all our members back, refreshed for 2023. We have a busy year ahead and are delighted to announce our first event - NSW Election Caretaker Period / Parliamentary Budget Office

We’ll kick the year off with a lunchtime session (12.30 pm - 1.30 pm) on Thursday 23 February, so save the date. In the lead up to the NSW State Election, we’ll have two excellent speakers to help us navigate the frameworks we all need to be familiar with.

• Laura Shumack, Director, Legal Branch, DPC will talk about all things caretaker convention and what we, as finance staff, need to know about our responsibilities and limitations during this period.
• Katie Hill, Chief of Staff, Parliamentary Budget Office, will talk about what the PBO undertakes in the lead up to an election and our role as part of this process.
