Held in conjunction with the exhibition 'First Impressions' at the Eltham Library Community Gallery from Saturday 27 September to Sunday 2 November.
Swiss born Felix Borsari (1945-2000) migrated to Australia in 1967 and moved to the Nillumbik region in 1975.
His artistic impressions of a treasure trove of wildflowers near Panton Hill inspired Nillumbik Shire’s ‘Felix Borsari Wildflower Walk’ reserve.
Marking 25 years since his passing, the ‘First Impressions’ exhibition captures the essence of his environment with precise visual acuity, stark economy of line and a sense of emotion and authenticity.
