First Nations Cultural Awareness Training

An opportunity for community to gain a deeper understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, countries and culture. Jillian West from Nomuckerlener will guide us in ways to show respect to First Nations people and how we can make a difference through knowledge.

The purpose of this training is to:

• Increase participants’ knowledge and understanding of the issues, past and present, that affect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander societies and communities.

• Provide information that will help participants to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
